According to the statistics provided by the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association (CEBID), in the first 10 months of this year Turkey's steel pipe exports rose by 3.11 percent to 1.56 million mt, with the value of these exports decreasing by 1.88 percent to $1.38 billion, year on year.
In the January-October period of the current year, the largest export markets for Turkish steel pipes were Iraq, the US and Algeria. Exports to Iraq increased by 16.01 percent to $290.65 million, while exports to the US declined by 23.24 percent to $189.89 million and exports to Algeria increased by 69.18 percent to $174.66 million, all year on year.
In October this year, Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 156,381 metric tons, decreasing by 6.68 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and down 10.02 percent compared to September. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $130.51 million, down 15.03 percent compared to September 2012 and falling 12.99 percent month on month.
